Manila Wear October

Manila Wear

Manila Wear is a branding initiative under Fashion Philippines that aims to develop the Philippine fashion industry into a globally competitive industry. With international fashion icon Josie Natori as curator, Manila Wear continues to position the Philippines as an advocate of unique fashion pieces that combine artisanal crafts with contemporary sensibilities – a fresh take on a more individualized and personal style of fashion.

Coutured Crafts

Each piece is an exploration of art and craft. The designers with their local knowledge in handcrafted techniques and strong passion to combine diverse elements play a key role in their quest to transform ordinary, often overlooked materials into wearable and functional artistic statements – each piece is an eclectic blend of timeworn tradition and contemporary glamour, meticulously embellished, sculpted, or carved to form striking, inimitable collections of bespoke craftsmanship.

The designers are in constant pursuit to update and refine their aesthetics as modernization continues to reshape trends, their artful execution of handcrafted traditions remain a dominant message in their collections.

This October, the Manila Wear brings together an ensemble of diverse collections of apparel, accessories and wearables that embodies crafted excellence of the Philippine fashion designers.
